Securus Technologies Continues to Acquire Subsidiaries

Securus Technologies was excited to announce that the inmate technology company has agreed in terms to acquire GovPayNet. GovPayNet is a leading provider of electronic payment processing for payments ranging from cash bail to traffic fines and tax payments. They have secured contracts from over 2,300 agencies in 35 states, with a coverage area that covers over 26% of United States counties. The move will make Securus the number one payment processing company for local government agencies, with the ability to process over 40 million payments per year. The deal will allow GovPayNet to become a subsidiary of Securus, joining some 20 other subsidiaries that it wholly owns.


Securus Technologies, headquartered in Dallas, is holding company that provides a host of services ranging from payment processing to inmate tracking for over 3,500 corrections facilities and law enforcement agencies in the United States and Mexico. They have over 1,300 employees in both Texas and Atlanta, Georgia including 220 employees at a domestic customer service call center. They have been in business since 1986 and continually produce technology-based products that are designed to keep America safe. They also provide phone, video, and email services to over 1.2 million inmates in North America.


Securus is accredited by the Better Business Bureau (BBB) of Dallas and maintains an A+ rating with the ratings agency. The company recently named Robert “Bob” Pickens as its President and CEO, effective January 1st of 2018.
